Industrial Water Senior Project Engineer

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Industrial Water/Environmental Engineer/Project Manager with experience in water resources planning, water stewardship program planning and implementation, water pumping and conveyance, biological and physical/chemical treatment knowledge, and the ability to evaluate, plan, and design industrial water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.

Detailed Description This position will provide process engineering, project management, and client engagement on a variety of industrial water and wastewater treatment planning, evaluation, and design projects. The work will include water resources planning, process evaluation, water and wastewater treatment, and water recycling facilities throughout the U.S.
Conduct water supply and wastewater capacity due diligence investigations.
Develop design calculations for selected water and wastewater treatment processes.
Work with project teams to develop preliminary designs (PFD/PID).
Provide project quality assurance and quality control.
Provide support to sales efforts and client engagement.
Interface with engineering disciplines, departments, and other offices to develop and deliver a seamless design for a fully functioning system.
Preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda and specifications.
Conduct and manage field investigation activities, including collection of (water and wastewater) samples for field and laboratory analysis, and compilation of operational data at municipal and industrial facilities.
Mentor/supervise, delegate, and oversee the work of field technical staff and engineers, coordinating with other disciplines.
Provide consultation in specialized areas to make decisions and solve problems.
Project Management of water and wastewater consulting and design projects for data centers and other technology industry clients.
Deliver the BC experience to employees by providing guidance and coaching staff and ensuring timely, meaningful feedback is given to support career development and progression.
Deliver the BC experience to clients by acting as a trusted advisor.
Develop personal relationships with strategic client key personnel.
Have a strong understanding of Industrial Water, business trends and competitor strategies.
Have a strong understanding of regulatory environment and trends for the Industrial Water business.
Desired Skills And Experience
B.S. in Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Environmental, etc.) or related field required; M.S. degree preferred.
PE license preferred.
8 to 12 years of experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse and remote team environment.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Candidate must be willing and able to travel for daily and short‑term field assignments.
High level of emotional intelligence.

Salary Range The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be modified in the future.
Location A: $106,000 – $145,000
Location B: $117,000 – $160,000
Location C: $128,000 – $174,000
