QA/QC Support Specialist

Base pay range $42.00/hr - $47.00/hr
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive data validation through multiple queries to ensure the accuracy of legacy mapping data migrated to the new geospatial system.
Rigorously review land base symmetry, connectivity at structures, and cable connectivity to maintain data integrity.
Verify attribute data for all linear and point features related to electric and gas components.
Implement and update map symbology, providing effective solutions as needed to enhance visual clarity and data representation.
Conduct thorough system testing to guarantee the full functionality and performance of the new mapping product.
Maintain an organized primary database spreadsheet and other critical data records.
Prioritize and manage data review tasks, adhering to established timelines for completion.
Provide essential support for various other GIS projects as opportunities arise.
Must‑Have Qualifications
Proven experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience using industry‑standard GIS software.
Demonstrated knowledge in map document creation, spatial queries, and spatial analysis.
Experience within a utility environment.
A self‑starter with high motivation, exceptional attentiveness, integrity, energy, initiative, and resourcefulness.
Quick learner capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical skills with a technical background.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in common office applications.
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
In‑depth knowledge of advanced geospatial tools and platforms.
Familiarity with electric and gas infrastructure mapping.
