Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Optometrist for a full‑time or part‑time, on‑site position in the San Jose Bay Area. The Optometrist will be responsible for performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and managing vision conditions, and providing personalized eye care recommendations. Additionally, the role involves guiding patients in vision‑related decisions, collaborating with in‑store associates to enhance the customer experience, and ensuring compliance with all legal and professional standards. This role requires a commitment to delivering excellent patient care while fostering strong relationships within the community.
Qualifications
Proficiency in performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing eye‑related conditions, and recommending appropriate solutions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for providing patient education and maintaining collaborative relationships
Understanding of and adherence to professional and legal compliance standards in eye care
Ability to work effectively in a retail eye care environment, contributing to overall store success
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program and a current, valid license to practice optometry in the state of California
Experience with innovative eye care technology and familiarity with a wide range of eyewear products is a plus
