Job Summary The position performs ultrasound procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention. Processes images on appropriate archival systems. Participates in performance improvement activities in the department. Maintains appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Requires active ARDMS status and previous ultrasound experience.

The position will rotate and cover other UCSF locations such as SF Bayfront Outpatient Center, SF Mission Bay, SF Parnassus, 1 Daniel Burnham Ct., Suite 260, SF Mount Zion.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $81.63 to $101.47 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description UCSF Health's radiology department has been on the forefront of medical imaging for more than a century. In fact, a number of radiology advancements and applications were developed here. From screening and diagnosis to treatment planning and monitoring response to treatment, radiology is an essential tool in delivering effective, personalized medical care.

We offer the full spectrum of imaging techniques, using the most advanced equipment. We perform more than 600,000 imaging procedures annually.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school

Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.

This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.

Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts.

Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

Recent work experience in an acute care setting (hospital setting)

License/Certification

Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.

BLS - Basic Life Support.
