Hightop Health is seeking a Lead Psychiatric Physician to join our integrative, collaborative team in Douglasville. We use advanced therapies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), ketamine infusions, and SPRAVATO®, along with comprehensive medication management and psychotherapy, to deliver patient-centered care.

As a physician-led practice, we provide a professional, cohesive environment with clinical autonomy, supported by a team dedicated to excellence and compassion. Our administrative systems minimize burdens so clinicians can focus on delivering high-quality care.

Hightop Health operates clinics in Douglasville, Roswell, Johns Creek, Cartersville, Marietta, Mid Town Atlanta, and Smyrna, with Peachtree City and Athens GA coming soon. We are currently hiring in Athens and Peachtree City, as well as our Douglasville clinic, which also offers the opportunity to see children and adolescents for fellowship-trained physicians who wish to incorporate child/adolescent care into their practice.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments

Diagnose and treat mental illnesses including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and co-morbid substance use disorders

Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, adjusting as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Deliver or supervise interventional treatments (IV ketamine, TMS) and refer to our IOP clinic as appropriate

Provide supportive therapy and coordinate care with our network of psychotherapy specialists as needed

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and therapists

Order labs and specialty consultations to integrate mental and physical health care

Actively engage in supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Hightop Health will protect time in your schedule for teaching and supervision and help develop a comprehensive structure for collaborating with APPs

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Ideal Candidate

Board Certified in Psychiatry

Completed an accredited psychiatry residency program

Experience or interest in advanced treatments including TMS, Spravato®, ketamine, and IOP

Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

Proficient in supportive therapy and referral to specialized psychotherapy as appropriate

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Actively engage in supervision of Advanced Practice Providers. Hightop Health will protect time in your schedule for this teaching and supervisory role and we will help you develop a comprehensive and supportive structure for collaborating with your APPs

Detail-oriented with ability to maintain accurate patient documentation

Compensation and Benefits Total compensation package: $300k–$400k+ including guaranteed base salary, quality bonus, and generous supervisory stipend. Potential for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
