Your Role And Responsibilities
As part of IBM Federal’s Enterprise Strategy practice, the Legislative & Strategic Policy Analyst will provide expert support to DoD programs in navigating legislative, policy, and governance requirements. This role focuses on monitoring Congressional activity, aligning enterprise strategies with evolving policies, and optimizing governance processes to enhance decision‑making and modernization efforts. The analyst will serve as a trusted advisor, delivering actionable insights and process improvements that strengthen compliance, transparency, and strategic execution across enterprise operations.
Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Business, Political Science, or related field.
4+ years of experience in policy analysis, governance, or legislative affairs.
4+ years of experience supporting U.S. government or military clients.
3+ years of experience with congressional affairs or federal legislative processes.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Active or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prosci, Legislative Affairs).
Experience with DoD governance structures or Air Force operations.
Familiarity with MILCON and Congressional reporting requirements.
