DESCRIPTION
Under supervision of Anesthesia Monitoring Lab Manager, Supervisor, or supervisor's designated representative, the Anesthesia Tech Assistant is responsible for providing support in maintaining inventory and other facets of materials management in the operating room and other anesthetizing locations. The duties include and are not limited to cleaning and stocking anesthesia machines and supply carts along with the maintenance of equipment used in the administration of anesthetic; maintaining a clean and organized work environment; implementing infection control techniques; and performing other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of relevant experience. Experience working with anesthesia supplies and equipment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) Excellent organization and time management skills. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Proven knowledge of medical terminology. Thorough knowledge of operating room supplies and equipment including anesthesia equipment. Demonstrated baseline knowledge and troubleshooting ability for anesthesia equipment. Proven speed and timeliness in all duties, particularly in preparation for emergencies and trauma procedures. Knowledge of JCAHO accreditation policies and procedures, sentinel events, National safety goals, environment of care and other JCAHO mandates directly related to anesthesia and patient safety. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in an Operating Room or similar healthcare setting. Experience cleaning and stocking anesthesia carts, machines, and equipment according to guidelines. Able to maintain all supplies, equipment, and medical instruments within their expiration date. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $50,446 - $62,744 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $24.16 - $30.05 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
