Essential Job Duties
Responsible for facility management and operations of 15 Athletic Department buildings which includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, stadium and arena lighting, court surface management, stadium seating, roofing, protective padding and netting, hot/cold hydrotherapy pools, refrigeration units, sound systems, scoreboards, video boards, and pest control.
Manages existing contracts with Campus Building Maintenance and Operations, Campus Grounds, and Campus Housekeeping. Also manages private industry contracts for HVAC systems, event housekeeping and post‑event cleaning, as well as pest control.
Assists with capital and special project management by coordinating and monitoring key components of the overall projects. This includes but is not limited to electrical, painting, lighting, flooring, HVAC, video, and sound.
Acts as a liaison between campus project managers and private contractors during the duration of the project timeline.
Assists in establishing RFP bid guidelines for various contracts within the Athletic Department.
Monitors and manages the budget making staffing and purchasing decisions to limit budget overages.
Supervision of 3 direct reports.
Provides daily leadership and guidance to the facility management team which includes 22 full‑time employees.
Works athletics and special events providing gameday oversight of event staff.

Other Responsibilities
This position is considered Essential and Key for University operations. Therefore, this position may be required to report to work during Adverse Weather conditions and even though the University may be operating under an alternative work schedule.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor and administration.
Minimum Experience/Education High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in the trade(s) areas assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Facilities in collegiate or professional athletics.
Knowledge of game day event set up and management.
Must be knowledgeable in Facilities and Grounds Maintenance, including general plumbing, electrical and repairs.
Experience in Facilities in Collegiate or professional Athletics with supervisory experience.
Required License or Certification
A valid driver license is required.
Valid NC Pesticide license will be required within 3 months of employment, must be maintained as a condition of employment.
Valid NC Driver's License required Yes
