Overview The R&D Data Science & Digital Health, Real‑World Evidence (RWE) team develops innovative evidence solutions and insights using real‑world data to support clinical programs and regulatory submissions. The Principal Data Scientist collaborates with R&D, multidisciplinary teams, and strategic partners to improve patient outcomes and enhance clinical development in Oncology, Immunology, or Neuroscience.

Key Responsibilities

Develop a portfolio of RWE projects based on real‑world data to generate key insights for pipeline assets.

Leverage emerging scientific and technological developments to propose new research ideas, solutions, and initiatives.

Lead end‑to‑end RWE studies including research concept, feasibility, study design, analysis, programming, and interpretation.

Analyze and interpret data for urgent requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure quality of RWE study design, execution, publication, and models & tools.

Create study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and programming deliverables.

Communicate technical methods and results to diverse audiences to drive decision‑making.

Align RWE generation with regulatory requirements and scientific standards.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. or master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics).

Relevant experience (≥2 years for Ph.D., ≥4 years for master’s) within biopharma, RWE consulting, or related healthcare industries.

Extensive data engineering and analysis experience.

Proven track record of delivering high‑impact data science projects.

Expert proficiency in R and SQL.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience delivering predictive technology projects (machine learning, deep learning, forecasting).

Familiarity with drug discovery and clinical development processes in oncology, immunology, neuroscience, or specialty ophthalmology.
