Senior Appraisal Analyst
Truist is seeking a Senior Appraisal Analyst to review property valuations and ensure compliance with federal/state law and Truist risk policy, protecting loans secured with real estate with adequate collateral value.
Job Details Regular full‑time position. Language fluency: English (required). Work shift: 1st shift (USA).
Responsibilities
Use critical thinking and analytical skills to review collateral.
Develop and maintain strong understanding of Mortgage Lending products, policies, processes, and collateral requirements.
Obtain required collateral documentation from internal clients, external clients, vendors, and third‑party sources per program requirements.
Perform detailed review of all collateral documentation to ensure loans meet portfolio and investor guidelines.
Identify and determine next steps for collateral issues escalated to you.
Consistently communicate with other departments and sales to ensure pipeline metrics and quality guidelines are met.
Adhere to all compliance regulations and controls.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, internal and external clients, business partners, and vendors.
Cultivate relationships with peers as a peer mentor.
Required Qualifications
Four years or more of mortgage or consumer loan underwriting experience.
Three years of continuous collateral review experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when relating to internal and external clients.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
Ability to travel occasionally overnight.
Preferred Qualifications
FHA DE (CHUMS) / VA SAR/LAPP experience.
Understanding of appraisal compliance and generally accepted appraisal rules.
Experience with appraisal and market evaluation tools.
Proficiency in mortgage automated processing systems.
Basic knowledge of bank services and products.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
