What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Lead the development, maintenance, and refinement of risk strategy frameworks and complex rules to achieve ambitious business goals.
Use advanced analytics and data science techniques to solve complex business problems. Build SQL/Python scripts, interpret results, and influence decision-making with findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations) to identify opportunities, establish requirements, and guide execution across the customer lifecycle.
Develop flexible performance dashboards and monitoring tools using platforms like Tableau to provide clear, actionable insights to diverse audiences.
Identify and execute opportunities to optimize processes and proactively detect evolving risk trends.
Mentor and support junior team members to help them achieve their goals.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Proven experience: Minimum of 3+ years in fraud or credit risk strategy within fintech, e-commerce, or online payments.
Technical proficiency: SQL and Python; ability to work with large, complex datasets and leverage data science libraries.
Analytical mindset: Ability to apply statistics and data science to solve complex, ambiguous problems and drive data-driven decisions.
Exceptional communication: Ability to clearly convey complex results to technical and business audiences.
Hands-on experience: Developing and deploying data-driven monitoring rules and identifying enhancements for existing processes.
Bonus Points
Experience in experimental design and data/control governance.
Knowledge of fraud typologies (onboarding fraud/abuse).
Experience with customer management or collections strategies for credit products (e.g., revolving cards or merchant cash advances).
