Founded in 2002, Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun boasts a relaxed, collaborative staff and a long‑standing positive presence in the community. We have two practice locations 15 minutes apart in Ashburn and Brambleton with a strong, experienced team of veterinarians across both locations, including a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. Medicine is always evolving and never stagnant! We welcome both urgent care cases as well as patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician to assist‑lead our surgery department. You will work closely with our lead Licensed Veterinary Technician, be open to following our hospital surgical protocols and enjoy training others. In addition, you should be able to place IV catheters, intubate, induce anesthesia, provide high quality pre‑ and post‑operative patient support, while provide leadership to other surgical technicians. Knowledge Of: All veterinary medical and surgical procedures and products. Ability To: Collect blood, urine, and fecal samples and perform appropriate laboratory procedures. Perform all procedures associated with radiology. Place an IV catheter and connect and monitor fluids. Monitor patient’s vitals while under anesthesia. Medicate patients and provide nursing care. Perform dental procedures on sedated patients. Provide excellent customer service while educating clients. Education: Completion of 2‑year accredited Veterinary Technician Program and current Virginia State License. Knowledge of Avimark is bonus, but not a requirement.
