A leading client in the Los Angeles area is seeking an experienced Banking and Real Estate Transactions Counsel to join a prominent and growing real estate and finance practice in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions and collaborate with top-tier professionals in a dynamic environment. This position sits in a hybrid environment in the Los Angeles metro. Base pay
$220,000.00/yr - $320,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Represent Lenders in complex financing deals
Advise and structure commercial real estate financing transactions, including mortgage warehouse facilities and servicing rights agreements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Manage Real Estate Transactions for Owners
Provide counsel on property acquisitions, dispositions, and related agreements. Draft and negotiate purchase and sale contracts, closing documents, and ancillary agreements.
Drafting & Negotiation Excellence
Prepare and review complex loan documents, security agreements, and related instruments. Negotiate terms that balance legal risk with business objectives.
Deal Management & Client Service
Oversee transactions from inception to closing, coordinating with clients, lenders, and third parties. Deliver practical, business-oriented solutions under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience in banking, finance, and real estate transactions. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of commercial real estate finance, mortgage warehouse lending, and servicing rights. Previous law firm experience is a must. Bar Admission: Must be admitted to the California Bar. Preferred Background
Experience representing owners in general real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales. Familiarity with multi-party negotiations and complex deal structures. Why This Role?
