Requirements Must have:

Profound understanding of Windows Internals, system architecture, and kernel

Familiarity with platform‑specific debug symbol files (PDB) and symbol management processes

Previous experience in security analysis for multi‑tier enterprise and web applications

Proficient in Windows debugging using tools like WinDbg, C, C#, and Microsoft PowerShell

Relevant certifications in (ISC)² or ISACA

Knowledgeable in IT Security Compliance, Information Systems Security, and Privacy

Experienced in creating Threat Models and identifying security risks

Possession of a CVE or publicly disclosed bug is advantageous

Experience in validating Windows Patches & Security Updates for FIPS 140 evaluation

Familiar with Azure tools, TFS, VSTS, and VSO

Proven expertise in tool development, particularly test automation

Skilled in debugging source code

Comfortable operating in a Microsoft Windows environment and managing hardware/software compatibility

Strong analytical and fault isolation capabilities

Collaborative team player with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

Background in defect tracking and NIST ACVP experience

Insight into Trusted Platform Module is beneficial

Exposure to Linux systems and internals is a plus

Previous experience with the Microsoft Security Team is desirable

Responsibilities

Debug Windows applications across various platforms and resolve identified defects

Analyze Windows OS for functionality in accordance with requirement specifications

Investigate, resolve, and document defects or issues

Maintain a comprehensive defect database and produce regular defect reports

Develop test cases for assessing software functionality and compatibility

Keep detailed records of test scenarios and outcomes

Engage in Windows tool development, particularly focusing on test automation

Debug and analyze source code as necessary
