TheGeneralManager willproactively manageoveralloperationsincluding thedelivery ofsafeand reliableservice, employeeoversight,managementofcontractassets,riskmanagement,clientandcustomersatisfactionandfinancial performance. This position is based in Essex, NJ in supporting the Essex County.

Key Responsibilities:

Continuouslybuildsrelationshipswithemployees,theclient,unionpartners,andthelocalcommunity.

Accordingtolocation/clientcontract,setscommercialandoperationalstrategic directionforthebusiness unit team.

Leadsthemanagementteamandemployeeworkforcetoachievecorporate/propertysafetygoals,service performance, and financial objectives.

Identifies,suggests,anddevelopsbusinessgrowthopportunities.

Optimizesthereturnonassetsdeployedwithinthebusinesstoincludevehiclescheduling,maintenance, and performance management.

IdentifiesandanalyzesKPIstomaintainpositiveresults.

Ensuresservicesareprovidedwithinbudgetandactionplansaredevelopedandimplementedtoimprove operational efficiencies.

Determinesanddeliversbusinessunitbudget.

EnsurescompliancewithstateandfederalregulationsandcompliancewithTransdevcorporatesafety standards.

Overseesallstaffmanagementandassignsdevelopmenttraininginliaisonwiththecorporateteamas appropriate.

Ensureseffectiveenvironmentalcomplianceandsustainabilitymanagement.

Providescompleteandaccuratedatacollection,compilation,analysis,andreporting

Otherdutiesasrequired.

Travelrequirementoutsideofimmediatearea10%

Qualifications:

Completionofafour(4)yearcollegedegreeinarelevantfieldisdesirable,althoughacombinationof relevant experience and education will be considered.

ExperienceinBusinessAdministration,Logistics,Transportationorrelatedfieldorequivalentbusiness experience preferred.

Atleast5yearsofexperiencemanagingafixedrouteorparatransitbusoperationofsimilarsizeand scope.

Knowledgeofrelevantfederalandstateemploymentlaws.

Thoroughknowledgeoftransitsystemregulationsandoperations.

Abilitytobuildsolidandmaintainstrongworkingrelationshipswithclients.

Abilitytomanagecostcontrolandfinancialbudget.

WorkingknowledgeandproficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeSuite.

Intermediate level understanding of technology,apps,Wi-Fi,andunderstandingoftransportationtechnology.

Strongwrittenandoralcommunicationskills;excellentpresentationskills;abilityto influencepeopleatall levels of the organization.

Abilitytoorganizeandperformworkefficiently,strongattentionto detail.

AbilitytonavigateLaborRelationsissuesandworkeffectivelywithunionpartners,includinglabor grievances, and negotiations.

Mustbeabletoworkshiftsorflexibleworkschedulesasneeded.
