Position Summary Join a dynamic, high‑performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna’s government services pharmacy business. This role is primarily responsible for modeling pharmacy network contracting arrangements for Aetna’s Medicare Part D business and providing actuarial support to key business partners.

Responsibilities

Support development and maintenance of models and processes to assess network contracting strategies and performance against expectations.

Work with business partners (including those in the PBM and Enterprise Pricing) to understand the details of network contracting strategies and convert these details into financial projections/modeling.

Support development of pharmacy network assumptions for Aetna’s Medicare Part D bids and forecasts.

Partner with the teams maintaining Part D pricing and forecasting models to ensure alignment on the best approach to modeling network terms/assumptions.

Effectively balance and manage competing priorities.

Act as a subject matter expert on assigned projects and concepts.

Leverage technical skills and critical thinking to design and achieve business solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree along with 3+ years related experience

Prior healthcare experience required

ASA or near‑ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries)

Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python a plus, working with large and detailed data sets is required

Strong communication skills

Solid technical/analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment with competing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Pharmacy, Part D, or Medicare Advantage experience

Pay Range: $92,700.00 - $203,940.00

The typical pay range for this role is: $92,700.00 - $203,940.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
