We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Engineer III to join our growing Cloud & Infrastructure team. In this hybrid role based in Worcester, MA, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and optimizing cloud infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Build and manage scalable, highly available, and secure cloud environments for development, testing, and production workloads.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.
  • Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure cloud environments follow best practices for cost optimization, security, resilience, and compliance.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and provide input on cloud-native design and scalability improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in cloud engineering, with at least 3 years working specifically with AWS.
  • Proficiency in AWS core services: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity/access management, and security principles.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK, or Prometheus.
  • Experience working in CI/CD environments and with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in complex environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Solutions Architect)
  • Experience with Kubernetes (especially EKS) or container orchestration
  • Familiarity with hybrid or multi‑cloud environments
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
