Windows Engineer II

We’re seeking a Level 2 Windows Endpoint Engineer to contribute to the configuration, compliance, and lifecycle management of our Windows device fleet, primarily utilizing Intune and Entra. This role will drive policy enforcement, patching, automation, and documentation while supporting broader strategy efforts. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to shaping best practices in our modern endpoint environment.

What you will do:

  • Contribute to the ownership of the lifecycle management of all Windows endpoints across the enterprise.
  • Maintain Intune and Entra‑based policies for configuration, compliance, and security.
  • Own the patching strategy and execution to ensure devices remain secure and up to date.
  • Understand and maintain automation workflows using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Assist team members in defining the technical roadmap and drive adoption of modern endpoint management practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Windows configuration, enrollment, and policy enforcement.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with security, networking, and support teams to align device policy with organizational goals.
  • Monitor endpoint health, compliance, and telemetry data to proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate new tools, features, and technologies to continuously improve the endpoint ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Endpoint/Intune Engineering or Systems Administration (preferably cloud‑based).
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune (Configuration Policy + Endpoint Security, Application Packaging, Remediations, Platform Scripts), and PowerShell.
  • Ability to write, understand, and modify scripts and automation.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining clear IT documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoPilot provisioning, Microsoft Graph (or other APIs), GitHub repository management, Patch Manager for Office 365, Windows Update for Business, Windows Hello for Business.
  • Experience in Azure Cloud.
  • Ability to tailor complex information and data for diverse audiences to ensure clarity and understanding.
  • Articulate presenter who uses detailed analysis to gain buy‑in and inform decisions among all stakeholders.
  • Possess a highly collaborative approach to working with other teams: Desktop support, Security, Architecture.

The total cash range for this position in San Jose is $94,000.00 to $131,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $150,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
