Role: Java Developer
Location: San Jose, CA (Locals only)
Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of software development experience
BS in Computer Science or related degree required (MS preferred)
Experience in developing high-performance, scalable, and highly available web services using J2EE and frameworks such as RESTEasy and Jersey
Comfortable using application server frameworks (e.g., Tomcat & JBOSS)
Knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns, and programming skills
Experience in designing, developing, and delivering software and/or platforms for use by other developers
Strong advocate of good coding standards and use of coding tools (e.g., Sonar) to improve delivered code
Good at identifying performance bottlenecks and using good coding patterns to avoid them
Good understanding of web services and SOA-related standards (e.g., REST/OAuth/JSON and SOAP/WSDL)
Excellent knowledge of programming languages, especially Java
Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g., Perl, Python, Unix Shell Script)
Knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL
Excellent communication and writing skills

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Java/J2EE technologies (e.g., JDBC, JSP, Spring MVC, JSTL, Struts, Hibernate, SOAP, RESTful)
Familiarity with GIT, Mock, Continuous Integration systems (Hudson/Jenkins), and Bug Tracking (Jira) tools
Proficiency with XML/XSL frameworks
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology for software development
