Engage and communicate with internal stakeholders including cloud operations and applications teams. Engage in platform level design and prototyping work to identify and define future functionalities. Take part in the process of refining, clarifying, and turning high level platform business domain problems into technical solution and architecture. Continuously improve, refine, and refactor the code base and configuration tools. Mentor new team members or interns as part of on boarding. What You've Accomplished Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study, and Requires 5 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving software development, including object-oriented design, debugging, unit testing, and continuous integration. Will accept Master’s degree and 2 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience. Experience specified must include 5 years of experience (or 2 years of experience, if Master’s degree) with each of the following: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); and Algorithms and data structures. Experience specified must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: Enterprise software development in Kotlin or Core Java; Working on a Scrum team; and Distributed systems concepts including security, scalability, resiliency and consistency. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. Must live within normal commuting distance of Pegasystems Inc.’s office in Waltham, MA.
