The Retrofit Applications Engineer II is a mid-level engineer responsible for the technical application of TGW products and third-party equipment to complete mechanical system designs during the quotation phase of projects. This role supports the Retrofit Sales Team in translating customer requirements into competitive and cost-effective intralogistics solutions, with a focus on expansions, modifications, and modernizations of existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Design medium-complexity mechatronic layouts using TGWs product portfolio and relevant third-party equipment for proposals.
- Develop and redesign hardware systems to meet customer modernization needs.
- Conduct performance calculations, warehouse design, equipment selection, and energy efficiency assessments.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and guidelines.
- Act as the technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD (2D) and Sketchup preferred.
