We’re seeking to hire an Associate Director, Client Finance, to support OMG’s Strategic Business Units (SBUs). The role will work with internal and external stakeholders and report to the Director and CFO. The ideal candidate would be proficient in Excel, exhibit data‑management skills, be proactive, detail‑oriented and deadline‑driven, and have experience managing people and multiple deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 6‑8 years’ experience in an operational finance environment (media/advertising/entertainment industry preferred)
  • Proficiency with Excel (modeling, pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Experience with Financial Reporting systems (e.g., TM1 Platform Analytics)
  • Bachelor’s (or Master’s) Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics

Responsibilities

Client Deal Pricing

  • Support the development of pricing models and analysis for new and existing clients’ remuneration terms, inclusive of any contracted labor reconciliations
  • Work closely and cross‑functionally with New Business Sales & Solutions, Account Management, Activation & Investment, and Business Operations to implement and inform pricing strategies across key deliverables and staffing
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of revenue streams, costs, and margins related to client deals to identify opportunities for optimization and increased profitability
  • Proactively manage front‑to‑end revisions/communications and present final pricing models to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders

Client Profitability

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of client profitability
  • Update employee burn report templates to analyze over/under utilization against contracted client staff plan
  • Lead time‑entry compliance, run weekly and ad‑hoc reports, and follow up with team members on incomplete or incorrectly coded timesheets
  • Manage agency time‑code updates and communications following contract renewals and new awards
  • Calculate agency labor and overhead fees using hourly reports and client pricing parameters

Client Contracting

  • Maintain a solid understanding of client and commercial contracts by performing quality‑control audits to ensure contractual compliance and mitigate risk
  • Review and analyze contract terms, ensuring financial viability, revenue recognition, and alignment with company objectives
  • Track project status across planned, awarded, funded, and billed budgets, notifying leadership as thresholds are met or deviations are realized
  • Monitor and guide staff involved in billing processes to ensure compliance of contractual obligations in the delivery of client services
  • Maintain an organized archive of client contracts for easy access and reference

Vendor Contracting

  • Partner with procurement teams to assess potential vendors and services, focusing on financial stability, pricing models, and total cost of ownership
  • Analyze vendor spending against budgets to identify variances and opportunities for cost savings
  • Advise on and negotiate the financial aspects of vendor contracts, including pricing, payment terms, discounts, penalties, and renewal options to secure advantageous terms
  • Establish and track key financial and operational metrics (KPIs/SLAs) for vendors to ensure delivery of agreed‑upon value and identify underperformance

Data Management & Codification

  • Ensure the financial forecast is accurate with regards to client contracts and client profitability
  • Understand results and respond to questions from upper management
  • Work closely with FP&A and Billing Operations teams, as well as client team leads and external agency counterparts
  • Coordinate with project management and analytics teams on dashboard updates and back‑end data accuracy
  • Develop and implement sound business‑management policies and practices within the Client Finance Group
  • Adhere to reporting deadlines for both client and finance calendars
  • Provide ad‑hoc analysis and reports as needed

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Range: $100,000—$125,000 USD. This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in‑office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in‑office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in‑office days based on business needs.
