CREDITS AND RETURNS CLERK

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE • $18/hour • Business hours, full-time • W2 • Start date: ASAP
ROLE IMPACT This role ensures timely and accurate processing of customer credits, returns, and refunds to maintain exceptional service standards. The specialist will work closely with branches, customers, and logistics partners to resolve issues efficiently, uphold company policies, and support the CES Online division in delivering a seamless post-purchase experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Process and issue credits, debits, and refunds in compliance with company guidelines. • Validate return eligibility and ensure documentation accuracy prior to issuing credits. • Track and manage customer and branch return requests through internal systems. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure prompt and accurate refunds for online orders. • Investigate and resolve complex issues, including duplicate billing, pricing discrepancies, or product defects. • Provide empathetic and professional communication with customers and branches via phone, email, and ticketing systems. • Support order corrections, rebilling, and documentation review to ensure account accuracy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of experience in credit, returns, or accounts receivable/payable roles. • Working knowledge of LTL carrier claims and parcel logistics (FedEx/UPS). • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to handle multiple priorities. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP or ticketing systems.
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS • ERP/accounting platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar) • Microsoft Excel and Outlook • FedEx, UPS, and LTL carrier claim portals • Internal ticketing and order management systems
PREFERRED SKILLS • Experience in wholesale, distribution, or electrical supply industries. • Familiarity with eCommerce refund workflows. • Demonstrated “Customer.First.Always” mindset.
