Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Director of Environmental Services located in Washington, DC. The Assistant Director will oversee daily operations related to environmental services, including maintaining a clean and safe hospital environment. Responsibilities include coordinating and supervising departmental staff, managing infection control standards, ensuring top-tier customer service delivery, and working within budgetary guidelines. The Assistant Director will collaborate with staff and leadership to create a safe and positive patient and workforce environment.
Qualifications
Strong Supervisory Skills, including team management and staff development
Experience in Environmental Services, with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards
Understanding of Infection Control procedures and protocols to ensure a safe hospital environment
Customer Service skills to provide a positive experience for patients, families, and staff
Budgeting skills and the ability to manage financial resources effectively
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and compliance is preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is strongly appreciated
