Vice President, Investment Accounting

Boston, MA . Salary + bonus & benefits. This is a direct-hire opportunity with one of our financial clients. Role sits in Boston, MA, in-office four days weekly. Client cannot sponsor now or in the future. No third-layer employment arrangements. Responsibilities
Manage and support the monthly and quarterly close Ensure accurate statutory (STAT) and GAAP reporting for insurance investments Partner cross-functionally with investment, accounting, finance, actuarial, and risk teams Serve as liaison between accounting and specialized investment silos Contribute to process modernization and ongoing team initiatives Qualifications
Deep U.S. STAT accounting experience (essential) Hands-on monthly/quarterly close experience; not suitable for audit-only or review-only profiles Insurance or reinsurance investment accounting background Preferred
Experience with real estate investment trusts (REITs) Familiarity with Clearwater accounting software CPA license (not required) Exposure to consumer or private credit Not a Fit
Audit-only or Big 4-only experience lacking applied close and statutory accounting Remote or minimal hybrid candidates — strictly Boston-based, in-office 4 days weekly Team & Culture
