Program Director role at Akua Mind Body. The Program Director oversees day-to-day operations of a 14-Bed Crisis Stabilization Mental Health Residential Facility. This program will treat high acuity clients with mental health disorders such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and related conditions. Candidates with a background of treating mental health clients in a crisis setting are strongly preferred due to governing body requirements (DSS and DHCS). Position

The Program Director oversees day-to-day operations of a 14-Bed Crisis Stabilization Mental Health Residential Facility. Due to the nature of the clients treated at this program, and the governing body requirements (DSS and DHCS), candidates with a background of treating mental health clients in a crisis setting are strongly preferred. Training & Accountability: Ensures all program staff carry out daily functions through continuous monitoring, training, and accountability. Staffing & Scheduling: Maintains Staffing Guidelines and adequate shift coverage, including timekeeping. Compliance: Ensures adherence to Akua’s policies, regulatory standards, licensing requirements; maintains license, credentialing, accreditation, and good standing of the program. Employee Management: Involves hiring, interviewing within staffing guidelines, and oversees disciplinary actions and terminations in line with HR policies. Emergency Management: Responsible for promptly communicating and resolving client issues or crises. Performance & Cost Management: Monitors program metrics to drive performance improvements and ensures cost control per budgetary guidelines (staffing, scheduling, and operational expenses). Qualifications

Licensure/Credentials: LMFT, LPCC or LCSW (Required) Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required) or Master’s Degree (preferred) in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Psychology) Experience: 3+ years of mental health experience and 1+ year of management experience (required) Additional: Valid CA Driver's License, Current Health Screen/Physical, TB Test Clearance, Current CPR/First Aid certificate, Able to Pass Live Scan (required) Key Qualities
