Role Description

This is an on-site part time to full time role for a Medical Office Assistant at Dr. James Webb & Associates' Osteoporosis Institute located in Tulsa, OK.


The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for greeting and assisting patients, answering and handling calls professionally, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance coverage. The role also includes maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring complete and timely documentation in the EHR, and supporting a smooth, efficient workflow within the office. Additional responsibilities include coordinating communication between patients and clinical staff, assisting with referrals or authorizations as needed, and providing general administrative support to ensure a positive patient experience and effective day-to-day operations.


Qualifications

  • Strong Phone Etiquette and professional communication skills
  • Proficiency in Appointment Scheduling and managing calendars efficiently
  • Understanding of Medical Terminology to assist with medical documentation and patient interactions
  • Experience with Insurance Verification processes to ensure proper coverage
  • Ability to provide Administrative Assistance, including organizing records and managing office tasks
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work effectively in a healthcare environment
  • Team player focused on helping the team succeed.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in healthcare or office administration is a plus


Salary

Compensation is commensurate with experience, with an initial 90-day trial period and the opportunity for additional productivity-based incentive compensation.
