Optum Behavioral Care is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our innovative team. As a member of the Optum family, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the way we deliver healthcare.

The therapist will provide direct clinical services within the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) at a primary care clinic in Morristown, TN. This role involves working closely with patients, primary care providers (PCPs), and psychiatrists to ensure comprehensive mental health and physical health support for an assigned caseload.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work remotely one or two days per week, while spending the remaining days on-site at the medical clinic. Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize in-person and virtual modalities to coordinate care with the patient's medical provider and other necessary health professionals.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments for common mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  • Monitor treatment responses and track changes in clinical symptoms.
  • Assist in psychotropic medication management and ensure medication adherence.
  • Provide brief interventions using evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
  • Engage in regular consultation with psychiatric consultants to discuss treatment recommendations.
  • Develop relapse prevention plans for patients transitioning out of care.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as one of the following in Tennessee: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in treating behavioral health conditions.
  • At least 1 year in an integrated primary care setting.
  • Proficient in evidence-based psychosocial interventions for mental health disorders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM).
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with patients and care team members.
  • Comfort using technology for remote patient interactions.

The annual salary for this role ranges from $59,500 to $116,600, depending on experience, education, and other factors. Optum offers a range of benefits and recognition programs to support your well-being.
