Direct Responsibilities

  • Lead the financing strategy for solar and green energy projects, including debt, tax equity, and other investment structures.
  • Develop and execute financial models to support project valuation, risk assessment, and funding decisions.
  • Structure project finance deals, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), tax equity investments, and loan agreements.
  • Negotiate and secure financing from banks, private investors, and institutional lenders.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial, legal, and regulatory requirements related to project financing.

Investor & Stakeholder Relations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investment funds, private equity firms, and other financial institutions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align financing strategies with company growth objectives.
  • Lead due diligence efforts and coordinate with legal, engineering, and development teams to support project execution.
  • Represent the company in financing discussions, investor meetings, and industry conferences.

Financial Analysis & Risk Management

  • Conduct financial analysis on potential and ongoing projects to ensure profitability and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics, market trends, and industry regulations that impact project financing.
  • Work with internal teams to optimize project costs, pricing structures, and financing mechanisms.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or financial structuring, with a focus on renewable energy.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing financing deals for solar, wind, or other renewable energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of tax equity financing, debt structuring, and PPA negotiations.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment analysis.
  • Knowledge of federal and state renewable energy incentives, regulatory policies, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with Independent Power Producers (IPPs) or Renewable Energy Developers.
  • Understanding of tax equity structures such as ITC (Investment Tax Credit) and PTC (Production Tax Credit).
  • Familiarity with green bonds, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) financing, and impact investing.
