As our Sr. Director of Finance, you will serve as a strategic enterprise leader, guiding financial strategy, governance, and transformation across a global specialty chemical and CPG organization.

What You’ll Do
Strategic Finance & Capital Planning
- Support development of the 3- to 5-year financial roadmap aligning with product, geographic, and M&A strategy.
- Lead capital planning to fund automation, R&D, and global expansion.
Controllership & Reporting
- Oversee monthly close, consolidation, and IFRS/US-GAAP dual-reporting for U.S. parent and EU subsidiary.
- Ensure compliant statutory filings (SEC readiness, EU corporate disclosures, local VAT/GST).
FP&A and Decision Support
- Build driver-based models for SKU-level P&Ls, cost-to-serve, and scenario planning.
- Provide COO & CTO with cost/benefit analytics for automation, IoT service models, and supply-chain redesigns.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage global cash pooling, FX hedging (USD EUR/GBP), and working-capital programs.
- Maintain financing facilities and covenant compliance; optimize interest/fees.
Tax & Transfer Pricing
- Architect and monitor intercompany pricing for IP licensing, manufacturing services, and consumables.
- Drive R&D credit utilization, customs duty reliefs, and EU environmental levies optimization.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Lead Enterprise Risk Management; oversee insurance portfolio (product liability, cyber, E&O).
- Implement SOX-lite internal-control framework scalable to expansion readiness.
Digital Finance Transformation
- Champion ERP, MES, and WMS integration across finance operations.
- Embed AI/ML forecasting and BI dashboards for real-time insights.
- Enable self-service analytics and decision velocity across teams.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team across geographies.
- Drive succession planning and cross-functional collaboration.
- Model values of integrity, agility, and continuous learning.
Cultural & Mission Alignment
- Align financial strategy with sustainability and stakeholder impact.
- Support ESG initiatives and responsible growth practices.
- Champion transparency, ethics, and purpose-driven leadership.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in finance leadership, including global and P&L experience with ≥ 5 years as a divisional or group Finance Leader in an automated manufacturing, CPG, or specialty chemicals industry.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required. MBA or MS in Finance preferred.
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution; thrives in a high-accountability, action-oriented culture where agility, ownership and speed matter.
- CPA or Chartered Accountant required.
- Expertise in ERP systems, ESG reporting, and capital strategy.
- Deep knowledge of cost accounting for process manufacturing, FX/commodities hedging, global tax optimization, and capital-equipment ROI analysis. Comfortable with Net Suite, Power BI/Tableau, and advanced Excel/SQL.
- Proven track record managing U.S. sales-&-use tax, EU VAT, REACH-related cost tracking, and ESG/CSRD disclosures.
- Strong interpersonal skills, executive presence, and strategic mindset. Ability to act as a trusted advisor who balances governance with entrepreneurial agility.
Location & Travel
Headquarters: Greater Seattle Area; <10 % travel to EU subsidiary, lenders, investors, and manufacturing sites.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary range ($180-200K) for senior leadership, annual incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive health, retirement, and education benefits for U.S. and EU-based teams.
