Capital Market IT (CMI) oversees the information systems for the Global Markets Division, covering all capital markets domains from pre-trade to post-trade, risk management, and regulatory reporting. CMI supports end-users, maintains and evolves information systems, and leads transformation programs to support business growth. The teams are distributed globally, including Paris, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York.
To strengthen its presence in the Americas, Capital Market IT is consolidating and expanding its Run and Build teams to support business growth in the region.
As such, CACIB Americas IT is hiring a Head of Americas Capital Market IT in New York. This role will establish a resilient and sustainable setup for supporting the Americas' capital market information systems, with support from CMI global teams.
Reporting lines: Local reporting to the Head of GIT – CIO Americas; functional reporting to the Global Head of Capital Markets IT. The Head of CMI Americas will be a permanent member of the CMI board.
Management responsibilities: Direct and indirect supervision of 17-20 staff, including management of the Nearshore proxy Capital Market IT team and the Deputy Head of Capital Market IT Americas in Montreal.
Key internal contacts: Worldwide IT organization; business lines and support functions involved in projects such as GMD, Capital Market operations, Finance, Risk, and Compliance.
Key external contacts: External providers involved in Build and Run activities, including Genpact, Capgemini, FIS, Mysis, and the Head Office.
Salary Range: $235k-$285k

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead Capital Market IT Americas teams, ensuring alignment between business needs and skills
- Establish and maintain effective Run and Build operations
- Adjust sourcing capacity based on business and IT requirements
- Oversee staff onboarding and development
- Foster talent growth and a culture of trust and empowerment
- Focus teams on delivering business value and core IT capacities
- Maintain close collaboration with the business
- Promote continuous improvement culture
- Identify cost rationalization opportunities through simplification and efficiencies
- Align IT strategy with CMI Master Plan
- Communicate strategy to the business and GIT, ensuring project alignment
- Ensure compliance with local and regulatory policies, including acting as the point of contact for auditors and regulators for the Capital Market Information System
- Meet all U.S. regulatory requirements (FINRA, Federal Reserve, DFS)
- Maintain compliance with IT Control plans and organizational policies
