Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
to support our nursing leadership team in the Elmira, NY region.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership support to the Director of Nursing in daily clinical operations
Participate in and help oversee weekly skin and wound assessments
Assist with regulatory readiness and maintain strong communication among nursing staff
Ensure residents’ clinical and nursing needs are consistently met
Participate in an on-call rotation to support nursing operations
Help guide planning, coordination, and delivery of nursing services
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing standards, practices, and clinical protocols
Monitor accuracy and timeliness of nursing documentation
Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of nursing personnel
Oversee daily staffing coordination and ensure adequate coverage
Promote and monitor infection prevention and control practices
Adapt to operational needs with a flexible and responsive schedule
Qualifications
Active RN license in New York State
At least 3 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment
Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Background in staff education or training is a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and team-building abilities
Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support department needs
Compensation
$85,000-$110,000/year, plus our benefits package!
