Job Description

The Law School Recruiter under general supervision will support the admissions department in recruiting prospective law students. The admissions recruiter will represent the School of Law at various events both regionally and throughout the country.

Salary: $23.00/hour

Other Requirements and Factors: This is a temporary position that will work from August to November and may require nights, weekends, or overnight travel.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be personable, energetic, and capable of articulating their experiences at TAMU Law in a positive manner
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Responsibilities

Admissions Recruitment:

  • Represents School of Law at local, state, and national events
  • Requires operating a vehicle to perform duties
  • Counsels prospective students (in person, by telephone, and through e-mail) regarding the admissions process and the program of study
  • Conducts follow-up contacts with prospective students

Reporting:

  • Manipulates, analyzes, and interprets current, historical, and comparative data to produce reports, inform decisions, and guide actions
  • Provides verbal and/or written activity updates for events attended
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, institutional, and accrediting agency policies and procedure
