Nemours Children's Health, Jacksonville is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to work in partnership with Wolfson Children's Hospital. The Department of Anesthesiology at Nemours Jacksonville serves one of the fastest growing areas in Florida. The current operating room and interventional capacity includes 10 inpatient ORs and 5 ambulatory ORs/GI endoscopy suites, one interventional radiology suite as well as a cardiac catheterization suite. Anesthesia provides care in three MRI suites and in the hematology/oncology clinic. We are expanding into off-campus ambulatory surgery centers to support rapidly growing case volumes. We are a free-standing institution serving a diverse pediatric population undergoing a wide range of procedures. Our team provides anesthesia to approximately 15,000 children per year while teaching anesthesia residents from Mayo Clinic and other anesthesiology residencies. Interest and/or experience in education, research, and program development would be ideal as we work to further develop our programs. Opportunities exist for academic affiliations with the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Jacksonville. MD/DO degree Board certified in Anesthesia Board certified/Board eligible in Pediatric Anesthesia Interest in clinical excellence within the care team model, education, and research Responsibilities
Provide pediatric anesthesia care within a team-based care model for a diverse patient population across multiple ORs, ambulatory centers, and specialty suites. Collaborate with Mayo Clinic and other anesthesia residencies on teaching and program development. Participate in education, research, and programmatic development initiatives as the department expands. How to apply
