As part of our sales team, we’re hiring an Account Manager who will steward our most strategic customer relationships, ensuring expansion, retention, and deep adoption of our solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Own a portfolio of key/strategic accounts and serve as the primary contact for escalation, growth, and retention efforts.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across customer organizations: operations, site/project leads, technical teams, procurement, and executives.
- Develop and execute account plans (growth, risk mitigation, cross‑sell/upsell) tailored to each customer.
- Serve as the internal champion for your accounts—coordinating cross‑functional efforts (product, implementation, support, training) to drive customer success.
- Monitor account health metrics (e.g., usage/adoption, contract renewals) and proactively address risks or gaps.
- Identify expansion opportunities and lead the negotiation of renewals and upsells.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with customers: present results, roadmap alignment, metrics, ROI, and next steps.
- Partner with Sales and Pre‑Sales/Solutions Engineering teams during contract extensions, proposals, and upsell initiatives.
- Advocate internally for product enhancements and roadmap feedback based on customer input.
- Drive customer advocacy: secure references, case studies, and referrals.
- Stay up to date on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges in construction/surveying/robotics.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications / Must‑Haves
- 5+ years in account management, strategic account sales, or customer success, preferably in hardware/construction.
- Experience managing large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven track record of growing revenue, increasing customer retention, and upselling.
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to quantify ROI/business value.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, work cross‑functionally, and adapt in a startup/scale‑up environment.
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable working with metrics, usage data, financials.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites/project locations as needed.
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Haves
- Background in construction, civil engineering, surveying, or adjacent infrastructure industries.
- Exposure to robotics, hardware, or industrial automation technologies.
- Experience in scaling B2B business in early‑stage or growth‑stage companies.
