Senior Product Manager - Technical, Amazon Autos

Join Amazon as a Senior Product Manager - Technical on the Amazon Autos team, where you will help launch a new business and transform the car shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Amazon Autos Central, the hub for dealers to manage their Amazon business.
  • Lead the vision, strategy, and development of Amazon Autos Central.
  • Drive product roadmap and resolve technical decisions in partnership with engineering teams—balancing customer experience, technical feasibility, and speed to marketplace while maintaining Amazon’s high bar for excellence.
  • Define and execute data‑driven experiments to optimize the seller journey; establish success metrics, analyze results, and iterate rapidly to improve customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
  • Author product specifications, technical requirements, and strategy documents.
  • Create buy‑in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
  • Represent the automotive seller product organization to senior leadership, providing regular updates on product development, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives while advocating for resources and support.

Day in the Life

In this role you will regularly talk to sellers to understand their problems and opportunities, and collaborate with the Amazon Autos team to develop product vision for new seller tools and services. You will work cross‑functionally with engineering, product management, design, operations, finance, legal, and business development, bringing new products to customers while creating certainty from ambiguity and maintaining a firm grasp of operational and financial aspects.

About the Team

Amazon Autos is a newly formed team that is re‑defining automotive sales, discovery, and purchasing experiences on Amazon.com, working in partnership with experienced teams across Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time.
  • Experience owning or driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services.
  • Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive‑level prioritization and planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • 5+ years of end‑to‑end product delivery experience.
  • Experience building and driving adoption of new tools.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $136,100 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location, skills, and experience, and may include equity, sign‑on payments, and other compensation as part of a total package.
