Job Description

The Global Data Office drives data-enabled growth by shaping data strategy, policies, and business outcomes. The office focuses on unlocking value through innovative data usage for consumers, businesses, and communities, while upholding Visa’s data values and responsible data practices.

Led by Visa’s Chief Data Officer, the Global Data Office coordinates high-impact, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visa’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Technology organization, the wider data community, and global business lines, the office evolves Visa’s data-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. Visa seeks enthusiastic leaders who are change-agents and passionate about the future of data worldwide.

This position will support the Strategy Team in the Global Data Office. It is well-suited to candidates with a background in strategy consulting, management consulting, or corporate strategy. The role will involve participation in projects to define and communicate Product, Data & AI strategy, as well as communications and market insights.

Responsibilities

Data Strategy Projects

  • Participate in strategy projects and lead workstreams
  • Structure and solve business problems, collaborating with internal stakeholders to make recommendations
  • Develop rigorous, fact-based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks

Market Insights and Analysis

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges related to data strategy and AI
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business growth

Reporting and Deliverables

  • Produce key project deliverables such as presentation materials and reports
  • Draft product stories, case studies, market updates and key messages for internal communications

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Experience in strategy development or consulting
  • Experience of working with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing and communications
  • Passion for payments and emerging technologies, especially AI

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and analytics
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools and software
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong project management and organization with the ability to independently lead workstreams
  • Payments experience preferred

Additional Information

Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

Relocation: This role does not provide relocation assistance.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 123,000.00 to 173,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
