Senior Manufacturing Engineer Our Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end manufacturing projects, from conceptualization to full implementation, ensuring successful execution with minimal supervision. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and cost‑effectiveness. Identify, analyze, and drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and other industrial engineering methodologies. Serve as a key decision‑maker for production optimization, leveraging data‑driven insights and best practices to maximize operational efficiency. Conduct in-depth time studies, workflow analysis, and value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks and implement process enhancements. Champion automation and advanced manufacturing technologies to streamline operations and reduce waste. Drive cross‑functional collaboration with leadership, production teams, and supply chain partners to align manufacturing objectives with business goals. Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor process efficiency, drive continuous improvement, and sustain operational excellence. Lead Kaizen events, 5S initiatives, and Lean manufacturing transformations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to safety, regulatory, and quality standards while optimizing for scalability and efficiency. Provide mentorship and training to production teams on advanced manufacturing principles and best practices. Manage capital improvement projects, including evaluating ROI, selecting vendors, and overseeing implementation to improve operational capabilities. Collaborate with Director of Manufacturing to develop long‑term manufacturing strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Support manufacturing engineering operations across multiple international sites, ensuring standardized processes and alignment with global best practices. Develop open budgets and identify cost‑saving opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Implement advanced manufacturing technologies and support R&D in scaling new products. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Familiarity with SAP MRP.
