Senior Manufacturing Engineer at GEOTEK LLC Brief Description: The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer leads and performs a variety of engineering tasks to identify, test, develop, implement, and document manufacturing processes and methods. This includes the recommendation, development, and implementation of automation solutions to optimize plant performance for process and material flow. Tasks are performed on the production floor and in an office setting, ensuring compliance with product specifications, customer requirements, quality standards, and all applicable governmental laws and safety standards. Essential Functions Examine manufacturing processes for cost-reducing automation opportunities, recommend solutions, and lead implementation. Develop automation solutions to optimize plant performance for process and material flow. Manage existing factory automation, including software, controls, mechanical and hydraulic systems. Oversee upgrades and maintenance of VFDs, PLCs, instrumentation, plant communication networks, process computers, and related equipment. Develop, test, implement, and document routine to moderately complex operational sequences in the manufacture of parts and products. Troubleshoot routine to moderately complex production problems, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Conduct engineering trials and process evaluations, analyze production data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to product quality and efficiency. Provide direction and assign tasks to the ME team. Lead project teams to drive positive change in manufacturing processes. Lead capital project initiatives from inception to execution of production. Facilitate documentation of engineering action items for problem resolution. Estimate manufacturing costs, process time, and manpower requirements; consolidate and present results. Create, write, and modify work process procedures. Conduct research, compile data, prepare reports, and deliver presentations. Prepare training materials and train key production employees and supervisors on new procedures. Report to work prepared and on time; adhere to company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5+ years’ experience in continuous flow manufacturing engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Financial acumen to understand and use business financial data. Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and multitasking skills. High ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology to production. Industrial experience with installation and maintenance of PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation, plant networks, and servers. Understanding of production processes, quality control, costing, and methods for maximizing effective manufacture. Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Proficient in mathematics and intermediate‑to‑advanced Excel and related software. Physical Work Conditions 50% office / 50% plant work environment. Compensation Salary range: $86,118 – $114,823.
