https://lnkd.in/eMSfVJkM RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees day-to-day operations of the accounting team, reviews journal entries and reconciliations, maintains the general ledger and subledger, and other accounting operations Continuously reviews and enhances accounting processes to increase efficiency of the monthly close process and improve overall financial integrity Assists in audits performed by external auditors by providing supporting documentation Tracks financials on donor acceptance rate for credits or payments to ensure financial accuracy Implements effective accounting principles to ensure timely monthly and annual financial close Instills a mindset of continuous process improvement consistent with accounting principles, corporate policies and government regulations Evaluates process needs and collaborates internally to identify efficiencies considered best practices in achieving automation, standardization, and continuous process improvement Develops and grows strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communication Manages a team through effective leadership to attract, develop, and retain talent, mentoring, coaching, team building, accountability, supporting professional development, review and assess performance, and enables employees to maximize their performance Organizes and presents consolidated financial statements and supporting analysis to finance senior leadership with a high level of accuracy Other duties as assigned Education Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance Experience 5+ years of accounting experience 1-3 years of leadership experience Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement Certification N/A Skills Excellent verbal and written communication Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Problem solving and lean methodologies Customer service Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software Travel N/A Physical Requirement Move or lift objects up to 25 pounds Frequent (>75%) stationary position (standing or sitting) while utilizing digital displays Frequent (>75%) fine manipulation using hands and fingers (typing, opening, writing, clicking, paper sorting, etc.) Working Environment Onsite: Office environment with assigned workstation More about Evergen: Evergen provides customers across a diverse set of market segments with leading-edge expertise, scale, and flexibility across end-to-end services including design, development, regulatory support, verification and validation, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
