Position Overview

As an Account Executive on our Small‑Medium‑Business team, your role involves identifying new opportunities with potential clients and our current customer base. You will prospect, conduct discovery calls and demos, negotiate deals, and close new business across all industries in the Small‑Medium‑Business segment (1‑500 employees). You will also research customers, guide the sales process, and develop a comprehensive territory plan.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery calls and demos, negotiations, and closing new and existing business in the Small‑Medium‑Business segment (1‑500 employees).
  • Research customers and prospects to gain insight into their specific business challenges and demonstrate how Box adds value.
  • Drive the sales process by influencing key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Develop a comprehensive territory plan covering all aspects of your target market.
  • Schedule visits to meet customers face‑to‑face within your assigned territory.

Who You Are

  • 1+ year experience in sales.
  • Prior closing experience required.
  • Prior experience in B2B or technology sales preferred.
  • Experience in outbound prospecting and pipeline management.
  • Proven success meeting KPIs.
  • Openness to learning about Box’s product, new technologies, industry, and customers.
  • Clear examples of successfully closing deals using an established sales process.
  • Ability to consistently identify opportunities for growth in new territories.
  • Previous experience building relationships and selling to executives at all levels.
  • For CA applicants only: a driver’s license may be required if you visit clients onsite.
