About the Role:
As a Product Selector at Calabro Cheese Corp, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate fulfillment of orders by selecting and preparing products for shipment. Your primary objective is to pick items from inventory according to order specifications, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness to support production schedules and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with warehouse team members and supervisors to manage stock levels, organize inventory, and maintain a clean and safe working environment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute directly to the smooth operation of the supply chain and the overall success of the manufacturing process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read order sheets and count inventory accurately.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Capability to follow safety guidelines and operate warehouse equipment after training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift operator experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production warehouse setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including Saturdays as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and prepare products from warehouse inventory based on order sheets.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and quality to ensure order accuracy before packaging and shipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory locations to facilitate efficient picking and restocking processes.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet daily order fulfillment targets and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company safety protocols and reporting hazards.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming inventory as needed to support warehouse operations.
