About the Position This is a full‑time position in Purple Strategies’ Research Expertise Group. The Research EG is dedicated to grounding Purple’s bespoke solutions in compelling and actionable data and insights. The Research Manager will design, field, analyze and report both quantitative and qualitative research, and integrate multiple data streams (desk research, first‑party data, and digital analytics) to create actionable insights.
In This Position, You Will
Quantitative research management
Design and contribute to research design that addresses objectives and answers key questions.
Develop questionnaires and sampling plans.
Oversee field processes and vendor management.
Analyze quantitative data and identify key findings.
Prepare reports, presentations and memos.
Qualitative research management
Manage focus group scheduling and recruitment.
Draft screeners and discussion guides.
Prepare reports and memos of key findings.
Syndicated, public and social data exploration
Identify new relevant data sources.
Mine and synthesize data from multiple sources.
Work with cross‑functional client teams to deliver integrated insights that address research objectives and help achieve key client goals.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as social sciences, marketing or mathematics; advanced degree or coursework is a plus.
Recommended 4+ years of experience in political, public opinion, market research or consumer research; experience with corporate reputation or crisis management is a plus.
Proven experience in all phases of research projects from inception through delivery of results.
Experience applying quantitative analysis techniques (cluster/factor analysis, regression, descriptive and inferential statistics) and qualitative methods (in‑depth interviews, focus groups, communities).
Demonstrated success translating research results into actionable recommendations that had a significant impact on brand/marketing/media strategy.
Ability to create powerful stories led by data and insight, present complex data visually, and inspire action.
Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word; statistical software such as R, SPSS or Marketsight a plus.
Strong organizational, time‑management, writing, and communication skills; able to influence stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize work effectively and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
