Director of Development – Corporate Relations
The Director of Development for the Office of Corporate Relations serves as a strategic leader in advancing the Texas A&M Foundation’s corporate engagement and philanthropic goals, primarily to support the College of Engineering’s corporate development initiatives. The role designs and executes comprehensive fundraising and partnership strategies aligning with the college’s priorities, research objectives, and collaborations across Texas A&M University. The Director cultivates and stewards relationships with corporate partners, donors, and stakeholders to secure major gifts, sponsorships, and strategic investments, working closely with Foundation leadership, College administrators, and advancement teams to strengthen partnerships that drive innovation and impact.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic corporate engagement and fundraising plans aligned with the Foundation's priorities and the College of Engineering’s mission.
Solicit gifts, sponsorships, and investments at major and principal levels to advance Texas A&M and the Foundation’s corporate relations objectives.
Collaborate with College of Engineering leadership and corporate stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities and communicate them effectively.
Lead stewardship efforts to ensure corporate partners feel valued and informed about the impact of their engagement and giving.
Mentor and guide development staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in corporate engagement.
Represent the Foundation and the Office of Corporate Relations at events, meetings, and partner engagements to strengthen relationships and visibility.
Build and manage a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects, cultivating relationships that lead to impactful philanthropic and strategic support for engineering programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3+ years of fundraising experience, including major gift solicitation.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans.
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Commitment to the mission and vision of the Texas A&M Foundation.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
5+ years of progressive development experience.
Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) or comparable certification.
Experience in nonprofit or higher education sectors.
Demonstrated success in securing principal gifts and managing high‑level donor relationships.
