401k Wholesaler / Retirement Plan Sales Representative
Base: $100K + 60% of first-year annualized fees. Melville, NY (onsite).
Our client is a fiduciary-focused investment advisory firm specializing in retirement plan solutions, investment management, and private wealth advisory. With a client-first service model and tailored offerings across 401(k), 403(b), and defined benefit plans, they support both plan sponsors and participants with integrity and depth.
They’re seeking a driven and experienced 401(k) Wholesaler to expand market share, strengthen advisor relationships, and drive new plan acquisition throughout the Tri-State Area.
What You’ll Do
Cultivate relationships with plan sponsors, retirement advisors, record keepers, and distribution partners
Promote bundled retirement plan services to third-party administrators (TPAs)
Develop and manage a sales pipeline focused on new plan acquisition and rollover assets
Present investment strategies and fiduciary support to prospects and centers of influence
Collaborate with internal teams across operations, marketing, and compliance
Lead in-person annual education meetings across the territory
Provide training on plan design, fiduciary duties, and regulatory updates (e.g., SECURE 2.0)
Use CRM to track outreach and consistently meet or exceed sales goals
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
5+ years in retirement plan sales — 401(k) wholesaler experience
Must have experience selling to end user
Series 65 (or willingness to obtain promptly)
Deep understanding of ERISA, fiduciary compliance, and plan design
Exceptional presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region
