Del Monte Fresh Produce
Purpose of Position
This position will be responsible for the preparation of the U.S. federal income and state & locals tax filings and payments of Del Monte Fresh Produce Company. The tax analyst will also be responsible for preparing the interim and year‑end income tax provisions.
Accountabilities
Preparation of Federal and State income tax returns for the U.S. Group.
Preparation of Federal and State Quarterly estimated income tax payments.
Preparation of Sales tax returns, Property returns, and Miscellaneous tax returns filed at various intervals throughout the year.
Assist in preparation of Year‑end Financial Statement Tax Provision.
Mailing and online filing of tax returns and submission of EFT payments to governmental agencies.
Process tax payments.
Draft internal memos and response letters for notices from Tax authorities.
Perform tax research for determination of tax compliance requirements and for corporate planning purposes.
Perform tax research to assist various income and state & local tax issues.
Assist in documentation gathering process for Federal and State tax audits.
Assist in gathering of information necessary for outsourced tax consulting engagements, including projects. aimed at obtaining tax savings and increasing cash flow.
Filing and maintenance of documents and record retention for tax authorities.
Minimum Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Tax) from an accredited institution.
1 year of experience in preparation of Income Tax Returns.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written skills.
Knowledge of tax research tools (i.e. RIA Checkpoint, etc.)
Preferred
Proficiency with tax software applications
Experienced with tax research tools
