Patient Financial Counselor – Swedish
Identifies and coordinates all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients. Includes patient relations, physician liaison regarding financial liabilities, deposit estimates, and collection. Assures that customer needs and/or complaints related to financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner to support organizational goals, system improvements, and recovery strategies throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree – or –
Additional experience may be substituted for no degree
3 years of experience in patient financial services or medical billing in a hospital business office – or –
5 years of experience without degree
