Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team to maximize total revenue and ensuring sales goals are met and exceeded
Established client base and cultivate relationships, building business, and provide a stable and positive work environment for the team
Spend a significant amount of time out of the hotel surveying market and comp set/neighboring hotels, researching new clients/opportunities, and knowing the market and its environment
Observe local trends in the market
Conduct sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition reader boards to develop leads.
Supporting and Developing the Sales Managers
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of Sales Experience
Any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered or other sales experience
Past Marriott Hotel Sales Manager in the SMERF experience a plus
4-year College Degree or Equivalent experience preferred
Knowledge of a hotel and how all departments interact
Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meets client needs, and resolve complaints
Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections
Detail-oriented.
