The incoming VP will work alongside the current President to modernize legacy operations, expand fiber network infrastructure, and eventually step into a senior leadership succession role.

This is a rare opportunity to make a long-term impact in a high-stability company poised for explosive growth through major grant funding and infrastructure investment.

Oversee large-scale capital projects, including multi-year fiber rollouts and copper-to-fiber transitions.

Drive process improvements across installation timelines, customer activation, and field operations.

Coach and mentor high-potential staff, building future leaders and enhancing cross-functional collaboration.

Maintain compliance with telecom regulations and safety standards.

Represent the company in industry, community, and partner-facing events.

Partner with the President on strategic decisions and provide executive-level reporting to corporate stakeholders.

10+ years of experience in broadband, telecom, or utilities operations, including leadership in a rural or regional environment.

Demonstrated P&L ownership and successful management of multimillion-dollar capital projects.

Deep familiarity with outside plant operations, fiber construction, and copper-to-fiber migrations.

Expertise in vendor management, engineering oversight, and strategic execution.

Emotional intelligence and leadership presence—able to build trust with long-tenured staff and drive cultural alignment.

Commitment to living in and contributing to a rural community; onsite presence required.

Preferred

Previous experience in a VP, Director of Operations, or Assistant GM role within a broadband provider or ILEC/CLEC.

Understanding of A-CAM, ReConnect, and other federal/state broadband funding mechanisms.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience reporting to or interacting with private equity or holding companies.
