OR Equipment & Materials Coordinator
Job Summary Under the direction of the O.R. Business Manager the OR Equipment & Materials Coordinator orders, receives and stocks all special order supplies, implants, equipment & instruments needed for surgical cases in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate ready access of supplies/equipment/instruments by OR Staff and physicians. The Coordinator will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
Location: 1133 Centre Street, Boston, MA
Remote Type: Onsite
Work Shift: Day (United States of America)
Schedule Weekly Hours: 40
Employee Type: Regular
Pay Range: $23.54 - $34.99/Hourly

Essential Functions
Prepares all special order supplies/equipment/implants for surgical cases daily.
Inspects all supplies going to operating room for quality, packaging and expiration dates to ensure product integrity and patient safety.
Restocks all supply areas/carts in operating suite areas to maintain an adequate inventory of supplies.
Reviews OR schedule in a timely manner in preparation to order supplies/implants/instruments for upcoming cases.
Maintains repair logs for equipment and instruments.
Maintains tissue tracking logs for all tissue implants.
Troubleshoots and maintains video carts & surgical equipment.
Works with and assists OR surgical schedulers in scheduling cases.
Meets with vendor representatives regarding surgical cases & supplies needed.
Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
Experience: Experience in the Health Care Industry and OR Surgical technician experience 3-5 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of Medical terminology for surgical cases.
Staff adheres to all I C.A.R.E. Standards.
Exceptional Customer Service Skills.
Computer skills.
Knowledge of purchasing, materials management, surgical procedures.
Purchasing knowledge preferred.
Must have surgical tech background.
Prior knowledge of EPIC is preferred.
Ability to promote teamwork.
Ability to take initiative and meet objectives in a timely manner.
